GCSE Music Student Conference

On 25th January, Year 11 GCSE Music students attended a Student Conference in London. The chief examiner for the Edexcel Music course was present and the girls attended four different lectures on the various aspects of their course. A fun day was had by all and lots of useful information was acquired on how to aim for top grades.

9 Penrhyn & 9 Anglesey Lunchtime Concerts

Both Year 9 classes presented their Lunchtime Concerts this term. There were some excellent performances on a wide range of instruments from flute and violin to voice, piano and trumpet.

Years 5 & 6 Lunchtime Concert

Years 5 & 6 assembled all their talent to put on some very varied and accomplished performances.

Congratulations to all the girls who performed in the concerts and a big thank you to all the parents and friends who came along to support.

It’s not only girls who have been doing lots of playing this term. Our piano teacher Mr Woolley performed in the Early Music Show on Radio 3 and was interviewed about how keyboard music developed.
