Academic Departments - Drama and Theatre Studies
Drama is taught to all girls from years 7-9 in the Drama Studio. Drama is key to building group skills and personal self-esteem, as well as developing acting skills and knowledge of the theatre.
Additional LAMDA lessons, leading to recognised qualifications, are available to complement and develop the acting and vocal skills begun in group Drama lessons.

Drama is a popular subject at GCSE , taught by Drama specialists, and many girls choose to take Theatre Studies at A level.
Major productions, which have recently included 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and 'The Boyfriend", take place in the newly refurbished Performing Arts Centre. The centre is equipped with an excellent sound and lighting system along with portable staging that allows not only traditional staging but also a catwalk and 'Theatre in the Round'.
Extra-curricular clubs and rehearsals lead to workshops and full-scale productions.
Regular theatre visits are made to professional productions in nearby Richmond and Hammersmith, as well as to London's West End and the National Theatre.
