Boarding - Admissions

Girls may be admitted at any time, if places are available in both the Boarding House and the relevant year group required.

Entry is usually decided by examination and satisfactory school reports. Whilst we like to meet all of our prospective students and parents we appreciate that this is not always possible, so examinations may be sat overseas.

We do not require an extremely high level of English as we have a specialist department offering tuition. See English as a Foreign Language. The results of the examination and the school reports will indicate if a student is capable of the level of study required.

A number of girls join us from overseas to study A levels. If their English is not extremely good we recommend a 3-year study period. The first year allows them to concentrate on improving their level of English, learning the specific vocabulary for the subjects that they are to study at A level and practising their language skills on organised trips into London and the surrounding areas. They will attend many of the AS classes that they are to join the following year, ensuring that they are able to gain the highest possible grades at A level and ultimately gain places at good universities.

Several of our boarders are high-level gymnasts who are members of local gymnastics clubs and have extremely demanding training schedules. We specialise in combining these schedules with a balanced academic programme and a strong support network for all-round success.

The prospectus request form can be completed on-line. A prospectus will be sent to you containing a Registration Form, which should be returned with a cheque for £45.

Alternatively we may be contacted by telephone, fax or email.

Once a place has been offered and accepted, a Holding Fee of £250 is required to secure the place. £200 of this fee is refunded when the student leaves.
