School Life - The House System

There are four houses that run through both the prep school and senior school.
Bevan (blue), Hildred (red), Simner (white) and Watkin (yellow). The names are an insight into the history and tradition of the school, being named after old school heads, governors and benefactors.

As each pupil joins the school they are allocated to a house and immediately become involved in the friendly interhouse competitions that happen each term. Each house is run by their house team, made up of a house captain plus two or three deputies (supported by house staff). These girls are usually from the Sixth Form and it is an excellent way for them to develop their team building, time-management, leadership skills and diplomacy! Every year group also votes for a house representative from their year group, who co-ordinate activities within their year.
